· The 10th annual ISKF England Karate seminar was held over the second weekend of October 2018 at ISKF England Headquarter in Finsbury Park, London. Hiroyoshi Okazaki Shihan led both mixed (Kyu and Dan) classes and Black Belt only classes. When Okazaki Shihan took Black Belt students for more advanced teachings, Edgardo Auza Sensei from Uruguay taught Kyu grade students. Black Belt students were given some great opportunities to practice complex combination techniques and advanced Kata’s which included Gojushiho Sho/Dai, Sochin, Chinte, and Kanku Sho. Kyu grade students practiced more basic body shifting, stances, and focus.
Especially for the students of 3rd Kyu and above, learning in details how to generate Kime through correct techniques using the body as whole, has made a visible and instant difference in their overall performance. Karate-ka’s of all levels participated in the event from different parts of the country.
We have had very good feedback from the participants and have also witnessed remarkable progress in many of them both in terms of techniques and spirits. Our deepest gratitude and reverence to Okazaki Shihan and Auza Sensei for the very successful seminar. And well done to 16 new Shodan 2 Nian 1 Sandan and 2 Yondan OSS .
